TESTIMONIES - Exhortations -Valley Gate Assembly
.Yes, the Lord really works in miraculous ways
This special Tuesday night was one that will always stay in my mind. You see, it was a Bible study night, for some reason I was debating with my conscience if I should go or just do something else instead.
Deciding not to go, I went to my brother-in-law to program his remote control for his television which I promised him a couple of days prior.
Coming back home, at the traffic light, I saw a young lady sitting on the curb wearing a thin blouse on that very cold autumn day; it was freezing out there. I noticed, also, that she was crying. I stopped and asked her if she was in some kind of trouble and invited to her warm herself in the car. She was trembling and she accepted the offer.
While in the car, I asked her if I could call the police to help her in some way. She went ballistic at the word police and I calmed her. She had been thrown out of her house by her boyfriend and did not want any help from the police.
I asked her if she would mind coming to my place to talk and find someone who could provide the help she would need. Arriving in the driveway, I honked my horn to have my wife meet us outside. I told my wife to talk to her in the living-room while I would call my pastor on the phone.
I explained to him the encounter with this young lady and that I did not think it would be possible for me to have her stay in my house for the night. My pastor made some calls and called me back a while after, in order for me to bring her to his house and he would make arrangement for her to stay the night.
My dear wife talked with her for about an hour and reassured her that everything was going to be all right and not to worry for she could feel secure at our house. In the meantime my wife covered her with a nice blue sweater that belonged to her mother who just pass-away a while back. The young lady became very calm and was enjoying conversing with my spouse and sipping on a hot cup of coffee.
After we brought the woman to my pastor’s house, while getting out of the car, she took the sweater off to give it back to my wife. My wife insisted that she keep it because "it did not even fit anyway.” But you do not even know me”, she replied.
Later, after learning of the situation, one of the Bible study buddies just said to me before I left, "Hey Mike the Holy Spirit always leads us in mysterious ways, does he not?"

Banish your fear!
Marc 5.36 do not be afraid, just believe
Of all the wars that are known in the humanity to this day, one of the scariest weapons and the most efficient is inspiring fear. Fear could paralyse the greatest combatants, and when panic and defeat is installed in their mind, collapse is not very far.
Our enemy the devil is a master in the art of inspiring fear. In effect, he knows very well that fear is exactly the opposite of faith; I would even say that it is a negative faith, a faith in the victory of evil. We must never forget that if the acting faith of the spiritual world is able to trigger some process resulting in real miracles in the material world, it is the same of fear, like Job tells us in these words: “What I fear comes upon me, what I dread is what has happened to me” (Job 325) There is there a real relation between the cause and the effect.
It is with reason, the importance of cultivating your faith, remembering these words. “faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ” (Rom. 10; 17). In that way nourish yourself daily of the word of God. You will learn in this manner, to better know the Lord. Your communion with him and you confidence in him will grow. Fear will be obliged to surrender in front of you faith, and you will be able to register victories of which you would have never dreamed before.
Prayer for today.
Father almighty! Help me to have full confidence in you, in all avenues of my life, so that fear would not come to paralyse me, and that with your help I could be victorious in new battles. In the name of Jesus! Amen.
Wisdom
« Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools suffers harm » Proverbs 13.20
Your relationships affects your productivity
Have you noticed that in the company of certain people, your feel stronger, like encouraged, and you have an urge to become better? And to the contrary, with others you are feeling weaker, and easily in prey to doubt and fear
The truth is that each individual you are courting affects your life, whatever to add, take multiply or divide. His influence touches everything that you are: joy, faith, enthusiasm, fright, zeal, consecration integrity, hope, attitude, (and the list could go on and on).
People fulfilling their destiny are extremely careful of their relationships. They know that their entourage motivates or slowswhat they want to achieve. Do we not say: «Tell me who you gather with and I will tell you who you are. - Close friends sticks together »
Certain friendships are a deterrent to the bursting of your potential. Some of your friends see you through your past, of what you had done, and only make reference about you in these matters. They will never picture you in your future, toward what you may become. Others refuse simply to see you grow in a better way and this even though you have the capability, and just prefer to see you stagnate.
Before crucifixion, Jesus said to his best friend Peter as he would to an enemy: « Away from me Satan » Because at that time Peter was not preoccupied by the future of Jesus, or his goal, what was the accomplishment of His destiny (crucifixion) to save the world from sin.
Just like Jesus told Judas: « My friend », when at last he came to betray him, at the precise time, Judas was the instrument that pushed Jesus toward his destiny, toward the will of God for his life.
Realise that the choice of your relationships determines the level of your productivity and your performance in life. The quantity and quality of the fruits that you are bearing are influence by the environment in which you are evolving. If you cannot discern your true friends, you are risking holding to certain friendships and in this way slow down your maturity to the realisation of your destiny. Be vigilant about your frequentations for you destiny depends on them.
Prayer
Lord, give me the insight to really know the people in my life. Preserve me of all ways of compromising and of the lightness of my choices toward the friendships that I may have in my short stay.
In the name of Jesus Christ!
Amen
God is more powerful than the father of lies.
John 8:44. When the devil lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44When Aaron (not his real name) was 15, he began praying to Satan: “I felt like he and I had a partnership.” Aaron started to lie, steal, and manipulate his family and friends. He also experienced nightmares: “I woke up one morning and saw the devil at the end of the bed. He told me that I was going to pass my exams and then die.” Yet when he finished his exams, he lived. Aaron reflected, “It was clear to me that he was a liar.”
Hoping to meet girls, Aaron went to a Christian festival, where a man offered to pray for him. “While he was praying, I felt a sense of peace flood my body.” He felt something “more powerful, and more liberating,” than what he felt from Satan. The man who prayed told Aaron God had a plan and Satan was a liar. This man echoed what Jesus said of Satan when He responded to some who opposed him: “He is a liar and the father of lies”.
Aaron turned to Christ from Satanism and now “belongs to God” (v. 47). He ministers in an urban community, sharing the difference following Jesus makes. He’s a living testament of God’s saving power: “I can say with confidence that God saved my life.”
God is the source of all that is good, holy, and true. We can turn to Him to find truth.
How have you experienced God rescuing you from evil? Who can you share your hisrory?
